Today, Earthworks Action Fund announced the endorsement of Tyler Quick and Commissioner Emma Pinter in Adams County, and Commissioners Jessica Campbell and Leslie Summey in Arapahoe County in the Democratic primary taking place on June 30.

Adams County needs the leadership of Quick and Pinter to continue to address public health and environmental concerns arising from oil and gas pollution. Pinter’s leadership has been especially valuable as Adams County has taken the lead on developing Colorado’s nation-leading air toxics rules, and opposing dangerous oil and gas facilities in their jurisdiction, and we know that Quick will continue her good work if elected.

“Adams County has been out front on keeping communities safe from oil and gas drilling,” said Lauren Pagel, political director of Earthworks Action Fund. “Tyler Quick and Emma Pinter will continue to put public health first.”

Earthworks Action Fund previously endorsed Emma Pinter.

In Arapahoe County, Campbell and Summey are endorsed for their role in adopting a state-leading 3,000-foot setback from new oil and gas facilities and homes, and their strong track record of pushing for better protections for people living near oil and gas facilities.

“Commissioners Campbell and Summey have been leaders on setbacks, and health and clean air,” said Lauren Pagel, political director of Earthworks Action Fund. “They have stood up for rules that cut pollution and keep people safe.”

Earthworks Action Fund previously supported both candidates and is reaffirming its support as they face contested primaries. Earthworks Action Fund backs candidates who prioritize people over polluters.
