Earthworks Action Fund endorses Matise, Coombs & Mayesfor Aurora City Council

Statement by Andrew Klooster of Earthworks Action Fund:

“The election for Aurora City Council is a choice between keeping the status quo or putting people first in all matters of decision-making. Nothing illustrates the need for people-centered elected officials as simply as the threat from the oil & gas industry to the Aurora Reservoir and Aurora’s drinking water and the subsequent failure of some current Council Members to vote with the overwhelming majority of Aurora residents.

“Earthworks Action Fund is proud to endorse Brian Matise for Ward VI, and Alison Coombs and Dr. Thomas Mayes for At-Large. All of these candidates have committed to put the people of Aurora above polluters in all aspects of city policy-making.”
